Potato Fries
Serves 2 · Air fryer: 15 mins, then 3 mins
Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes (baking potato size)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt
Serves: 2
Method
- One of the reasons that air-fryers have such a good reputation is due to their ability to produce chips with far less fat. That said, you still want these healthier chips to have great flavour and that’s what this recipe delivers.
- Peel the potatoes and slice into fries about 1.5 × 1.5cm / ⅝ × ⅝ in. by the length of the potato. Submerge the fries in a bowl of cold water and place in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the air-fryer to 160°C/325°F.
- Drain the fries thoroughly, then toss in the oil and season.
- Tip into the preheated air-fryer in a single layer (you may need to cook them in two batches, depending on the size of your air-fryer). Air-fry for 15 minutes, tossing once during cooking by shaking the air-fryer drawer, then increase the temperature of the air-fryer to 200°C/400°F and cook for a further 3 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
